Post class reflection (July 29)

Our Wednesday's class start at 1 p.m. and our facilitator Mr. Ek Prasad Duwadi sir never fails to amaze us with his fun and unique way of interacting with students. It was a rainy day, monsoon air was in the atmosphere and we started our class by learning how internet works from a site called edpuzzzle.com. Later on like quiz in previous class,he taught us acrostic poem and told us to make it using alphabets in our name.  It was really fun. I made mine and it goes as:

Gentle

Aesthetical

Ultra

Realistic

Amazingly

Vast Man.

It was an amazing way of drafting a poem and learning new things every day is what make our class interesting. After finishing poem writing two group gave their presentation. Aditya Jha's group presented ideas and specifics about "Scientific journal articles" which put forward ideas about process of writing scientific journals while Lokesh Sapkota's group presented rhetoric about text "To know a fly" that discussed about process of scientific discoveries and their importance. After the presentation was finished our facilitator gave the idea about real life uses of toulmin's model in which he presented his various arguments on recent world events. After the discussions ended the class was suspended until next meet.

Limits of humanity

We might as well argue that our limit lies beyond the stars or perhaps there is no limit to which our civilization can prosper, where our descendants will dominate the outreach of cosmos. But as we know even the infinity is restricted by limit. The very idea of infinity lies on our capacity to unable to imagine something so vast, so beyond our prospect of imagination, something that does not exist in our realm of thoughts. So in this extensive process where we are heading towards the undisputed path of oblivion and nothing in the universe last forever where does our limits last? Is there a border we will never be able to reach? Are there places we may never discover despite every effort we put? The answer might be pretty disappointing. Sharing a deep affinity with the ever expanding universe, it seems that our limit lies in the very limit of universe itself. Our solar system is located in a remote corner of a 100,000 light year radius sized spiral galaxy. Even the trip to the nea...

Post class reflection (August 14)

It was a lovely morning and the class begun at 9 o'clock sharp. Today's class was different from any other as we were presenting "The Stub Book". I was a little nervous to be frank and was discussing all sort of questions and process with my friend Aditya. As the class started Mr. Duwadi sir talked about online poll system and buzz words but the first link he sent was not accessible. But the next one worked which evaluated the answer students submitted. Next was the time for presentation part which was rushed as time was limited because we only have one hour class on Friday. Ashish and Anurag presented on " Adaptive Failure: Easter’s End." It was a beautiful presentation full of details, data and charts. They clarified the idea about the sustainable development and the consequences of not using the natural resources wisely. It talked about how unplanned activities may lead to destruction of the whole civilization. The poem that was presented at the end o...

Post class reflection (August 5)

It was a cloudy Wednesday and our ENGT class started at 1 pm.   Enjoying sweet breeze that passes by my window almost every day at noon I was discovering "diamante" style of poem which our instructor Mr. Duwadi sir introduced. To be frank I don’t have many ideas about format of poem in English literature but discovering new things is my favorite part of this class. Here is my own version of diamante poem:   Ancient Primordial Foregone Hunting Surviving Fighting Civilization Culture Economy Science Inventing Empowering Composing Medicine Comfort Space Modern Following the diamante format, presentation part took over. The first group was Chandan Mahato's and Siris Mainali's group in which they discussed about memo-writing. Memo writing was something we well discussed in previous semester so it was easy to understand what my friends were presenting. Their presentation topic was followed by "The four tusk elephant" which was presented by Nisc...
