After two weeks of interruption of English class, due to festive holiday, we resumed our class. As over scheduling of online classes and the load of heavy assignments were taking a toll on us, we asked Mr. Eak sir to conduct his class only once a week as course was fast and we could finish it way ahead of schedule. He agreed to cancel classes of Friday.
As presentation routine was going on, the first presenter of the day, Anjali presented on Travel Report in a memo format. The presentation was really good and easy to understand. She even posed us some questions at last which made it extra clear. This type of report is made when we visit a place for various purposes and the details of the report varies accordingly. After the first presentation, Subechhak and Mohit gave another good presentation on Recommendation and Feasible Report. At first, Mohit presented on recommendation report and then Subechhak presented on Feasible Report. We learned that even though these reports looks like they have the same motive on the surface, they are quite different. A recommendation report is used to provide the most suitable solution to a problem while a feasible report is used to examine whether a project would be beneficial or not.
There was still quite a time left after the two presentations, so our teacher asked if the third presenters were ready for today. They said that they were but before that our teacher got us involved in a class activity in Menti-meter. He asked us to write down an idea that we had today. It was a really refreshing session and interesting. Then we got back to the third presenters for today, Raja Rama and Sampurna. They presented on the essay “Keeping Errors at Bay” by Bertrand Russell in Toulmin’s argumentation model. It was another really good presentation and we learned some of the reasons why we make some foolish mistakes and how we can fix them. After this presentation our teacher concluded the class and with new ideas said to meet next Wednesday.
